Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an LPN for Emporia Family Medicine to support patient care under the direction of the physician. The LPN will participate in pre-visit assessments, assist during appointments, and help prepare patients for provider visits.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team, accurate documentation, and compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinic setting. LPN licensure in Virginia and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active LPN licensure in the state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum one year of clinical patient care experience
• Proficient with computer-based scheduling and registration systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and health care team members to meet patient needs
• Delivers direct basic nursing care per LPN scope
• Labels and packages specimens as trained
• Performs clerical/administrative duties as directed
• Acts as chaperone during patient examinations
• Assists with procedures, treatments and interventions
