Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Richmond, VA seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to deliver patient care under the physician’s supervision and to prepare patients for visits.

You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, provide basic nursing care, assist with procedures, label specimens, and support clerical duties; BLS certification and active LPN licensure or CMA certification are required, with one year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and other health care team members in meeting patient/family needs
• Implements the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care
• Appropriately labels and packages specimens
• Assists in providing indirect care through clerical or administrative duties
• Acts as a chaperone for health care providers during patient examination
• Assists provider with procedures, treatments, and interventions
