Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Harrison Primary Care in Cincinnati, OH. The LPN delivers patient care under physician direction and participates as part of the health care team to prepare patients for visits and document responses to care.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, labeling specimens, and supporting clerical tasks as needed. Active LPN licensure and BLS are required; one year of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical patient care experience (preferred, not required).
• Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure or LPN applicant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and other health care team members in meeting patient/family needs.
• Implements the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care in accordance with the LPN scope of practice.
• Appropriately labels and packages specimens, as trained.
• Assists in providing indirect care through clerical or administrative duties as assigned by the registered nurse.
• Acts as a chaperone for health care providers during patient examination as requested.
• Assists provider with procedures, treatments, and interventions.
