Sentara Health’s SMJMG Forest Lakes in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an LPN to work onsite in a physician practice. New graduates are welcome, with an $8,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, full-time (40 hours). As an LPN in the clinic, you will room patients, take vital signs, administer medications and immunizations, collect specimens, and assist with procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program leading to LPN/LVN eligibility is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in an ambulatory or physician practice setting is preferred.
• Current, unencumbered state LPN/LVN license mandatory; NCLEX-PN required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, measures vital signs, and records health information in the electronic health record.
• Administers medications and immunizations within the LPN scope of practice.
• Collects blood specimens and performs simple diagnostic tests as ordered.

The role rooms patients, gathers and records health information, measures vital signs, administers medications and immunizations, collects blood specimens, and performs simple diagnostic tests. The LPN prepares patients and rooms for examinations, assists with procedures, and provides patient education and follow-up instructions within scope. Working closely with the care team, the LPN helps manage patient flow, responds to messages and refill requests under provider direction, and may direct the work of medical assistants and aides. Accurate documentation in the electronic health record supports continuity, care coordination, and safe outpatient care.MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATIONCompletion of an accredited practical nursing program leading to LPN/LVN eligibility is required. Ability to guide medical assistants and aides. The base pay range for full-time employment is $26.10 - $38.70 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
