Job summary

Albany Med is hiring a Per Diem LPN for Occupational Medicine at our Guilderland location. Under supervision of the attending physician and nursing leadership, you will provide direct patient care and support in-office procedures.

The role requires an LPN license in NY, strong communication skills, and prior patient care experience. Expect variable shifts in a fast-paced Urgent Care setting with a focus on patient safety and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in patient care preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to present information clearly to physicians, patients, and staff.
• LPN license in the state upon hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and accurately record patient vital signs.
• Document components of patient history.
• Assist in in-office procedures under licensed provider supervision.
• Perform CLIA-waived diagnostic testing.
• Perform venipuncture for lab samples.
• Prepare patient charts with pertinent clinical information.
• Maintain inventory and stock examination rooms.
