Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care under RN/physician supervision. You will administer medications, monitor vitals, and support discharge planning.

Requirements include NY LPN License & Registration, BLS and Infection Control Certification, and a High School diploma or GED. Shift is Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM – 05:00 PM, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on care under RN/physician supervision, including administering medications, monitoring vitals, wound care, triaging/rooming patients within 15 minutes, and performing treatments.
• Accurately document patient info, vitals, interventions, and medication administration with 100% compliance. Collect, label, and log specimens (blood, biopsy) with zero tolerance for error.
• Clean and stock exam rooms between sessions, maintain supply par levels, and sterilize equipment via autoclave.
• Partner with the healthcare team to elevate issues, facilitate discharge, and teach patients/families regarding care management.
• Provides direct care for a specific patient population. Administers medications and treatments. Provides patient & family teaching and discharge instructions.
