Job summary

Carilion Clinic, a not-for-profit health system based in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Part-time LPN for outpatient care in the Shenandoah Float Pool at 1 Health Cir - Lexington. The role includes nursing care for patients of all ages, assessments, order entry, and patient education in a physician practice setting.

The ideal candidate will have Virginia LPN licensure, BLS-HCP, and at least one year of physician office experience, with a focus on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing required, or new graduate eligible to sit for VA licensure exam.
• One year physician office experience preferred.
• Current LPN licensure in Virginia required; Radiologic Technician Limited licensure if radiology performed.
• Current AHA BLS-HCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical nursing care in physician practice or clinic setting per provider direction.
• Perform patient assessments and prepare for provider evaluation.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
• Assist with lab procedures and specimen collection as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and EMR documentation.
• Support referral authorizations and pre-authorizations for testing.
