Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA, is seeking an LPN Outpatient for a part-time day shift. You will provide practical nursing support in a physician practice, assisting during exams, collecting specimens, and supporting patient education within a collaborative team.

The role requires Virginia LPN licensure, 1 year of physician office experience, and BLS certification. Responsible for maintaining EMR documentation, medication administration, and patient flow management in a clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited practical nursing program.
• Virginia licensure as an LPN required; radiology eligible if performing radiology.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients of all ages.
• Complete patient assessments including vitals, chief complaint, medications.
• Prepare patients for provider evaluation and assist during exams.
• Coordinate tele-retinal and tele-dermatology clinic setup.
• Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam and treatment areas and restock supplies.
• Document patient information in the EMR promptly.
• Assist with referrals and lab procedures as needed.
