AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time day shift. The role supports physician-led clinics with patient intake, vitals, triage, and basic procedures, including phlebotomy and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused care in a physician’s clinic.

• Perform phlebotomy and routine lab tests per protocol.
• Screen calls, take messages, and triage per practice guidelines.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed.

Job Description & Bonuses

Sign on Bonus up to $5,000 for eligible applicants Relocation Bonus up to $5,000 for eligible applicants Location: One Health Park, Hendersonville, NC Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Coordinates and provides quality patient-focused care in a physician’s clinic.

Places patients in the examining room and ensures their comfort. Performs patient intake entry, obtains vital signs, and documents patient information. Assists physicians with examinations, treatments, and office surgeries. Performs phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required, adhering to state and federal regulations. Screens telephone calls, takes accurate clinical messages, and answers routine patient inquiries. Performs triage duties according to practice protocols. Ensures exam room equipment is clean and properly set up before each patient encounter. Manages sterilization of non-disposable instruments and maintains appropriate logs. Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as directed by the provider. Handles medication and prescription questions, refill calls, and ensures accurate documentation. Obtains insurance prior authorizations for medications and communicates changes to providers and patients.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Use of Computers, telephone, fax machine, copier, stethoscope, EKG machine, pulse oximeter, oxygen devices, wheelchairs, stretchers, scales, glucose monitor, and other patient care equipment necessary to perform required duties as appropriate to the scope of the practice.

Education

Associate [Preferred] High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Field of Study: Associates Degree or equivalent specific to Licensed Practice Nurse preferred
