Job summary

603 Healthcare at Bedford Hills is hiring an LPN or RN to provide direct nursing care and lead the nursing team in resident care. You will coordinate care with residents, families, providers, and other disciplines.

This role blends hands-on clinical care with leadership responsibilities, influencing resident outcomes and team strength. The position requires weekend night shifts on a 32-hour weekly schedule and NH licensure.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license in NH.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong leadership, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and direct the daily activities of assigned nursing personnel.
• Assess resident conditions and communicate significant changes to physicians and family representatives.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Perform wound care, treatments, IV administration, tube feedings, and other nursing procedures within scope.
• Participate in admissions, transfers, discharges, rounds, and care planning.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care.
• Support nursing-team performance, development, and accountability.
• Participate in QAPI, infection-control, and survey-readiness activities.
• Respond to resident incidents and participate in investigations when required.
• Promote teamwork, respect, communication, and resident rights.

Available Shift(s):

11:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 32 Hours/Week | Every Weekend Required

This position follows a consistent 2-week rotating schedule:

• Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Friday & Saturday

• Week 2: Sunday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night is required.Compensation: LPN: $36 - $43, RN: $44 - $50 based on experience+$3.00 per hour worked on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and full-time modified compensation optionsPosition Status: Non-Exempt

About the Role

• Prior long-term care experience preferred.
