Job summary

Grifols is seeking a Center Medical Specialist in Brookings, SD to perform donor examinations, educate donors, and ensure safety in a plasma donation center. You will coordinate donor health assessments, maintain confidentiality, and support staff training within a team‑oriented healthcare environment.

Qualified candidates are licensed in the state (RN/LPN/LVN) with CPR certification and have the ability to work in a fast-paced donation center across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state of employment as RN/LPN/LV N.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in donor center or clinical screening preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform donor physical examination and history to assess suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Maintain confidentiality for donors and staff.
• Educate donors on general health and test results.
• Evaluate donor injuries or adverse events and manage appropriately.
• Assist in employee training and Hepatitis vaccination program.

About the Job

• Perform physical examination and establish medical history to determine donor suitability
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality
• Responsible for donor awareness to potential hazards
• Provide donor education regarding general health and provide counseling regarding unacceptable test results
• Evaluate & manage donor injuries and adverse events
• Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability
• Assist in employee training
• Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program

Job Requirements

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocation Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
