Job summary

RKM Primary Care in Port Allen, LA is seeking an LPN or RN to join a community-focused ambulatory care team. You will verify patient information, take vitals, document in EMR, perform venipuncture, immunizations, well-child visits, and CLIA-waived tests.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in good standing with the State of Louisiana (Required).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required).
• Prefer experience in ambulatory care setting.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information, obtain vitals & document in EMR.
• Obtain medical history from patients & document in EMR.
• Ensure all reports and labs are available.
• Venipuncture using aseptic technique and proper handling of specimens.
• Perform well child exams and CLIA-waived testing.
• Perform referrals and monitor labs and diagnostic tests with follow up.
• Provide pharmacologic support/treatment.
• Maintain updated EMR medication list.
• Knowledge of LINKS & VIS processes.
• Administer and document immunizations (oral, IM, SQ and IV).
• Provide patient education and health literacy.

Job Overview:

Our sites qualify for the National Health Service Corps loan repayment program (individual qualifications apply).

Job Duties:

• Verify patient information, obtain vitals & document in EMR.
• Interact with patients to obtain medical history & document in EMR.
• Ensure all reports/labs are available.
• Venipuncture using aseptic technique, proper collection, handling/storage of specimens.
• Performs/Assist in well child exams.
• Performs all CLIA waived testing/QC checks.
• Perform referrals, monitor labs, diagnostic test, with patient follow up.
• Provide pharmacologic support/treatment.
• Maintain updated patient EMR medication list.
• Knowledgeable of LINKS & VIS process.
• Administer and document immunizations, oral, IM, SQ and IV medications.
• Provide patient education, health literacy – identify patient learning method.

Employment Type:

Starting Salary Range

• LPN - $18.66 – $24.35 per hour; up to 3% annual increases
• RN - $50,230 - $71,240 per year; up to 3% annual increases
