Job summary

New Season is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient clinic team. You will work under the supervision of the Medical Director, Registered Nurse, and Program Director to deliver compassionate patient care during challenging times.

You will engage directly with patients, perform medication administration per physician orders, conduct basic lab tests, and participate in CARF preparation and audits. Day-one benefits and a strong team atmosphere are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in NC or multistate.
• Understanding of opiate addiction, medical terminology, general nursing knowledge, and techniques. Basic mathematics skills. Must be computer literate and have basic knowledge of all Microsoft products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have basic typing skills.
• Minimum of 1 year of direct patient contact. Prior experience in the clinical environment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Supply and administer medication per physician's order and record dosage in the medical record.
• Conduct inventory of medication supply daily with accurate counts.
• Maintain absolute accuracy in daily medication accounting.
• Collect fees and perform daily cash reconciliation in absence of cashier.
• Ensure proper disposal of medical waste.
• Observe patient demeanor prior to dosing.
• Contact other centers to verify dosages as needed.
• Administer lab tests as required, including vital signs and TB tests, and collect data for Medical Director or RN.
