OhioHealth's O'Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time 32-hour per week position in the Medical Oncology Clinic. You will provide nursing care to patients and families along the health-illness continuum and collaborate with the health care team.

Newly licensed LPNs with strong Medical Assistant experience are welcome. Office hours are 7am-5pm, shifts are day-based with scheduling based on clinic needs; this position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED (Required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - National Council of State Boards of Nursing

This is a full-time 32/hour position. Office hours are 7am-5pm and the LPN will be scheduled according to the needs of the clinic. The position is located at O'Bleness Hospital, in Athens, Ohio. Newly licensed LPNs will be considered if they have a strong experience in a Medical Assistant environment. Must be flexible, positive and a strong team player. This position provides nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. The LPN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The LPN delegates nursing tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. This position serves as a resource for other associates. May communicate instructions, do minor scheduling, and inspect work. Does not hire, fire, discipline, promote, demote, transfer, or appraise, but may be consulted by higher management in these areas. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 32 hours/week. Monday through Friday. Shifts are dependent on the needs of the clinic. Work Shift: Day. Department Medical Oncology Clinic.
