Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services in Baldwyn, MS is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support nursing care under the medical plan of care, document patient records, and teach patients and families for post-discharge care.

The role covers adolescent to geriatric care, requires CE credits, and involves coordinating care with medical staff and other departments. Work hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.

Qualifications

• Must meet continuing education requirements.
• Maintains knowledge and resources to care for adolescents, newborns, adults and geriatrics.
• Must organize and prioritize work assignments.
• Delegates assignments to nursing assistants and unit secretaries.
• Assist new employees in orientation.
• Project a positive image of the unit to customers.
• Maintain good working relationships with Medical Staff and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care in accordance with the medical plan of care and hospital policies.
• Maintains patient records and contributes to nursing care plans.
• Provides patient and family teaching for continuing care after discharge.
