Job summary

Minneapolis Health and Rehabilitation is seeking licensed practical nurses (LPN) to provide exceptional care to residents. You will join a team of healthcare professionals within our facility, delivering hands-on nursing services and contributing to quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• A caring & loving personality and demeanor
• Leadership and mentorship skills
• The ability to work your scheduled shift
• The ability to read, write & speak English

Responsibilities

• Enhance the clinical care and quality of life of our residents.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Check residents daily to ensure prescribed treatment is properly administered.
• Keep the RN Supervisor informed about residents and related matters.
• Implement recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressings etc., per policy.
• Complete all LPN record-keeping forms upon admission, discharge, transfer, etc., and file accordingly.
• Give and receive nursing reports during shift changes.
• Investigate complaints and grievances and make reports to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Present a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhere to policies and standards.
