Job summary

The State of South Carolina seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), non-institutional, to join the Office of Mental Health at the Waccamaw Center for Mental Health, South Strand Office in Myrtle Beach. You will deliver direct patient care, coordinate appointments, and support PAP medication processes.

Responsibilities include screenings, telehealth coordination, documentation, and cross-training in office operations. Requires SC LPN license and experience in healthcare, including mental health.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an LPN in South Carolina.
• Experience in a mental health setting preferred.
• Ability to bend, lift up to 40 pounds and communicate with patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care, including injections and vital signs per orders.
• Conduct patient screenings and manage telehealth room logistics.
• Coordinate medical appointments and scheduling workflows.
• Serve as PAP Coordinator for medication assistance paperwork and compliance.
• Oversee inventory logistics for PAP medications and patient pick-ups.
• Organize and maintain medication storage room for safety and efficiency.
• Process prior authorization requests with physicians to resolve approvals.
• Cross-train in Business Office operations for coverage and reminders.
• Maintain accurate medical records per state and program standards.
