Department of Veterans' Services-YUMA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide comprehensive geriatric nursing care to residents. The role includes supervising subordinate staff, observing patient conditions, and administering prescribed treatments in line with the care plan.
Under supervision of an RN or physician, the LPN may act as the charge nurse, overseeing all LPNs on the unit and coordinating with CNAs to ensure high-quality resident care.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Department of Veterans' Services-YUMA you will be responsible for providing all geriatric nursing care, treatment and services in a professional and prescribed manner. You will provide a variety of nursing care for infirm geriatric residents while overseeing and training subordinate staff in specific resident care. You will observe and report resident behavior and physical condition to include administering medical treatment and providing intervention according to the plan of care. In addition; you will act as a lead with limited supervision on assignments. This position works under the supervision of an RN or physician however in the event the LPN position is the charge nurse, the incumbent oversees the functions of all other LPNs on the unit, as well as the Certified Nursing Assistants.
