Job summary

Department of Veterans' Services-YUMA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide comprehensive geriatric nursing care to residents. The role includes supervising subordinate staff, observing patient conditions, and administering prescribed treatments in line with the care plan.

Under supervision of an RN or physician, the LPN may act as the charge nurse, overseeing all LPNs on the unit and coordinating with CNAs to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Provide geriatric nursing care in accordance with the prescribed plan of care.
• Observe and report resident condition and administer treatments as directed.
• Oversee and train subordinate staff on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Lead with limited supervision on assignments.
• Coordinate care under RN or physician supervision; acting as charge nurse when applicable.
