Job summary

The Valley Manor Care Center in Montrose, CO is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our compassionate team. Work a full-time night shift from 10pm to 6am and provide essential nursing care to residents in a welcoming, mission-driven environment.

Competitive pay ($30.15-$36.40/hr) with an additional $2.25 night differential, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth. Must have CO LPN license and CPR certification to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Colorado LPN licensure.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Able to perform nursing procedures and document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds to residents' physical and psychosocial status.
• Assign personnel to meet resident needs.
• Observe, record, and report residents' conditions and reactions to drugs and treatments.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per orders.
• Provide range of motion exercises and end-of-life care per scope of practice.
• Document medications, treatments and related activities accurately and timely.
• Attend nurse meetings and maintain continuing education requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring (Requirements)

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Colorado.
• Maintain a current CPR Certification.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Make rounds to residents to observe their physical and psychosocial status.
• Assign personnel appropriately to meet resident needs.
• Observes, records, and reports to supervisor regarding residents’ conditions, reaction to drugs and treatments and significant events.
• Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and wellbeing of the resident.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per MD/Providers orders.
• May administer professional services, such as catheterization, tube feedings, suctioning, applying/changing bandages, packs, colostomies and drainage bags.
• Provide range of motion exercises, end of life care/expired resident per scope of practice.
• Makes physician/providers calls to report resident change in condition and documents same.
• Maintains all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner according to policies and procedures of the facility, including documentation of medications, treatments, restraints, psychotropic medications and skin condition.
• Perform routine charting duties as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures.
• Attend nurse meetings as scheduled.
• Maintains continuing education requirements.
• Other duties as assigned
