Job summary

The State of Connecticut Department of Developmental Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Northwest Regional Center in Torrington. This 2nd shift, full-time role requires bedside care, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and nurses.

Responsibilities include measuring and administering medications, documenting, narcotic counts, IV meds, and leading the shift when assigned.

Qualifications

• Active CT Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• Experience in bedside nursing and medication administration.
• Ability to document medications accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors and nurses in care and treatment.
• Measure doses and administer medications including insulin.
• Document medications using required forms.
• Perform narcotic counts and IV medications as needed.
• Transcribe orders and report changes to physicians.
• Lead or charge shifts when required.
• Maintain patient hygiene and monitor conditions.
