Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse license or permit to practice nursing in CT.
• Preference for LPN certification and ability to obtain CT license by endorsement if applicable.
• Experience with medication administration and nursing procedures a plus.
• Ability to document medications clearly and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors and nurses in general care and treatment.
• Measure doses and administer medications including insulin.
• Document medications using appropriate forms.
• Perform narcotic counts and check IV medications.
• Report changes in individuals to doctors and transcribe orders.
• Lead or assist on shift as needed.
• Maintain patient hygiene and monitor conditions.
