Qualifications

• Current, valid LPN license in Kentucky.
• Completion of accredited LPN nursing program.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, turning, and assisting residents.
• Compassionate attitude for working with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow standards of nursing practices and community protocols.
• Supervise and evaluate direct resident care and initiate corrective action.
• Provide reports to on-coming shift nurses and DON as needed.
• Conduct resident rounds daily and report problems to nursing supervisor.
• Administer medications and treatments per physicians' orders.
• Coordinate care plans and discharge/transfer procedures as assigned.
• Collaborate with physicians, families and ancillary staff.
