Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with practical training.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with no current restrictions.
• Last 12 months of full-time nursing employment.
• Ability to interpret medical criteria such as InterQual or Milliman Guidelines.
• Experience with CHCS, MHS GENESIS, TRICARE or military health systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications: Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process and disposition specialty care referrals per procedures.
• Research claims and chart notes to support referrals.
• Identify and correct referral processing errors; close expired referrals.
• Answer patient questions about referral status; respond promptly.
• Make outbound calls as required; provide secure messaging via MHS GENESIS.
