Job summary

Covenant Health's McNeeley Family Physicians is hiring a Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse for the day shift in an outpatient clinic. You will support clinical care under supervision, perform vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, and prepare patients for examinations.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an LPN in Tennessee; American Heart Association BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s general condition and takes vital signs and weight.
• Assists provider with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments including phlebotomy, injections, suturing and other office procedures.
• Administers patient medications per provider order and policy including dosage, route, and documentation.
• Triages patient phone calls and urgency of appointments.
• Maintains confidentiality and documents all interventions and medications in the medical record.
