Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification due within 14 days of hire; CPR required for direct patient care.
• Night shift LPN with direct patient care responsibilities in a Medical Surgical unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, safe nursing care under RN/physician supervision.
• Perform general nursing tasks and adhere to patient safety policies.
• Comply with organizational policies and standards of practice.

• Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities such as Ear Nose, and Throat (ENT), bariatric, and orthopedic service lines.

Responsibilities:

• The LPN under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, provides direct, safe, appropriate, and effective nursing care to designated patients in accordance with patient needs, current standards of nursing practice, and organizational policies within the scope of LPN Licensure and hospital policy.
• Performs general nursing tasks.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from a practical nursing program
• Valid NM RN License or valid multi-state compact license (within 90 days of hire)
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
