Job Overview

The LPN Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing the highest quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe, organized manner. Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, conducting SHUs, and resident care, all in accordance with laws, regulations, and Sunrise policies to ensure the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments safely and organized.
  • Document medication administration accurately.
  • Follow the Six Rights of Medication Pass to ensure safe medication practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  • Report concerns and assist in medication checks and restocking.
  • Assess residents for 'as needed' medications and document accordingly.
  • Participate in safety, risk management, and team activities, including training and meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or equivalent credential.
  • Maintain necessary certifications such as CPR and First Aid.
  • Previous experience with seniors preferred.
  • Strong communication and judgment skills.
