Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living seeks an LPN Medication Nurse in Newton, MA to provide licensed nursing support, administer medications, monitor residents, and maintain accurate clinical documentation per physician orders.

You will follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration, transcribe orders, observe changes, and uphold regulatory standards to ensure resident safety and high-quality care. CPR and First Aid certification are required.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly.
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates.
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes.
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards.
