Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine team in Cabarrus, NC. The role requires a completed Practical Nursing program and an active LPN license, with BLS to be acquired within 45 days.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with shifts typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Compensation ranges from $24.10 to $36.15 per hour, with a sign-on bonus eligibility based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) must be obtained within 45 days unless exempt.
• Completion of an accredited or approved Practical Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Assists the physician with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams and other evaluations.
• Administers medications under physician orders, including immunizations and IV therapy within scope.
• Provides patient education on tasks, treatment, and self-care; follows up on prescriptions and referrals.
• Documents patient conditions and communicates with the health care team to coordinate care.
