Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for our North Charlotte OBGYN department. The role supports obstetrics/gynecology care, rooms patients, and assists physicians with exams and procedures.

A current LPN license and BLS are required, with a 45-day window to obtain the BLS if needed. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, with a sign-on bonus eligibility based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• LPN license in the state of practice; BLS certification within 45 days.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, document vital signs and health information.
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries as needed.
• Administer medications per orders; manage IV therapy within allowed scope.
• Educate patients on tasks, treatments, and follow-up tests/referrals.
• Communicate with care team and document patient status and changes.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment; stock supplies and ensure safety.
