Job summary

Crouse Medical Practice is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support our patient care team in New York. The LPN will provide nursing care under the direction of RNs and providers, assisting with clinical tasks and patient interactions to ensure smooth operations within the practice.

New grads are welcome; the job offers a $3000 sign-on bonus, a Monday–Friday schedule with no mandatory overtime, and opportunities for professional growth within a growing medical practice.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as LPN in NY.
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Familiarity with health care systems, policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and follow medical orders.
• Strong teamwork and cooperation skills.

Responsibilities

• The LPN provides nursing care under direction of the RN and/or provider.
• Contributes to smooth operation of the practice by handling clinical tasks and patient care.
• Works collaboratively with all staff to support patient interactions within the team.

Education

Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Position Description:

The Licensed Practical Nurse is a licensed health care provider who provides nursing care under the direction of the RN and/or provider. The LPN contributes to the smooth operation of the practice by attending to clinical tasks and patient care. The LPN works collaboratively with all other staff to assist the patient and facilitate a successful interaction within the practice team. This position reflects and carries forward the mission and goals of the practice both internally and throughout the community.

Requirements:

• Education/Certification/Licensure
  • Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.
• Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions.
• Understanding of documentation standards.
• Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.
• Works well in a team setting and demonstrates strong cooperation skills.
• Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.
• Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures.
• Skill in handling a number of tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in a physician office, preferred.
