Job summary

Mercy is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient care under supervision and collaborate with a team across departments. The role emphasizes the nursing process, accountability, and coordination with other units to ensure quality care.

The position requires an LPN license in the hiring state, BLS certification, and optional advancement through additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and STABLE as the unit requires.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with license current in the hiring state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE or other unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under supervision of licensed personnel.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments.
• Stand/walk for long periods; assist with turning and lifting patients.
