Job summary

Watson Clinic in Lakeland, Florida seeks a dedicated LPN or Medical Assistant to provide basic medical and nursing care, ensure patient comfort, and support clinicians with routine office procedures.

The ideal candidate will have an active Florida LPN license or MA credentials, experience in a clinical setting, and the ability to triage calls, administer medications, educate patients, and maintain accurate medical records while upholding clinic policies.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program and hold an active Florida LPN license.
• Preferred: experience or training in a medical health care facility as an LPN.
• For Medical Assistant: High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited MA program or 1 year MA work within last 2 years; MA certification within 90 days; current BLS certification or within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient’s medical records
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
• Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the office.
