Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program; must have active Florida LPN license.
• For Medical Assistant track: High school diploma/GED plus accredited MA program or 1 year MA experience in last 2 years; MA certification within 90 days; BLS certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic medical and nursing care and ensure patient comfort.
• Discuss health care with patients and report status to RNs and providers.
• Identify patient education needs and provide instruction.
• Administer medications including injections and document accordingly.
• Assist physicians with procedures and coordinate patient flow and scheduling.
