Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with active Ohio licensure.
• Or high school graduate with Medical Assistant certification.
• Must have the ability to perform as a medical scribe.
• Experience in a medical office/urgent care setting preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of nursing process and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide health promotion, health maintenance and illness management under physician supervision.
• Assist physicians with patient care and explain clinic services to patients.
• Monitor patient flow and document vitals, current medications, and chief complaint.
• Perform technical lab functions (phlebotomy, EKG, stress testing) as needed.
• Schedule procedures and tests and assist with medical scribe duties.
