Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is seeking a Medical Assistant to support provider-led patient care at office locations. Under supervision, you will assess, document, triage calls, manage vitals, and assist with examinations while coordinating with other departments.

You will educate patients about medications, maintain chart accuracy, follow HIPAA and OSHA guidelines, and contribute to a safe, efficient practice. Experience in a physician clinic and EMR systems is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA/RMA/CCMA).
• Three to five years in a healthcare setting is typical.

Responsibilities

• Triages calls, schedules urgent care, relays test results and coordinates referrals.
• Greet patients, take vitals, document data and reconcile medications within scope.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures, maintain sterile rooms and equipment.
• Order supplies and medications, document and code in the medical record per policy.
