Job Summary

Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for long-term care opportunities in Newark, OH. This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and the ability to pick up shifts that fit your availability.

Responsibilities

An LPN picking up shifts through Elite Medical Staffing at a long-term care facility may be expected to:

• Utilize EMR MATRIXto record patients’ medical information and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
• Monitor resident health status and promptly report significant changes in condition
• Provide direct nursing care and clinical support within scope of practice
• Assist with resident assessments and implementation of individualized care plans
• Accurately document medications, treatments, observations, and resident responses
• Collaborate with CNAs, medication aides, physicians, and other healthcare team members
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers regarding resident needs
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements
• Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active LPN license
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in long-term care
• Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
• Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
• Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
• Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

Credentials Required

• Active and unencumbered OH LPN License or Compact LPN License
• Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
• CPR/BLS
• Tuberculosis (TB) Test
• Flu Vaccine (during Flu season)
• Covid-19 Vaccine (religious/medical exemptions accepted)
• Resume
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
