Health Advocates Network in Oxford, MS is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care during 7A-3:30P, 3P-11:30P, or 11P-7:30A shifts. The role offers local pay of $29.00 per hour and opportunities to contribute to patient care in a professional healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, maintaining EMR documentation, and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active LPN license in the applicable state, in good standing.
• At least 1 year of full-time LPN experience in a correctional setting.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or equivalent.

• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and report changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with wound care and other nursing procedures.

• Educate patients and families on medications and aftercare.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses.

• Assess patients, monitor and record vital signs, and report changes in condition.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Assist with wound care, dressings, and other nursing procedures.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement individualized patient care plans.

• Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and post-care instructions.

• Follow infection control, safety, and emergency response protocols.

• Comply with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

• Maintain all required certifications, training, and employment-related documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution

• A degree from an accredited school of Nursing

• An active, current LPN license in applicable state or reciprocation and must be in good standing

• 1+ years’ full‑time LPN experience in a correctional setting

• BLS through American Heart Association or equivalent
