Job summary

Health Advocates Network seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a facility in Oxford, MS. This is a registry position with W2 employment and hourly pay of $28–$29 with multiple shifts available.

You will perform direct patient care under supervision, administer medications, monitor vitals, and document care in EMR while coordinating with physicians and the care team. CPR and MS licensure are required, with emphasis on patient education and safety.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of Licensed Practical Nurse experience.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Valid CPR certification (AHA).
  • Current MS credentials for LPN licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under supervision of RNs and physicians.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and document administration.
  • Monitor vital signs and document findings.
  • Assist with wound care, dressings, and rehabilitation.
  • Document patient information in EMR and other systems.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to develop care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on procedures and post-care.
  • Follow infection control protocols and PPE usage.
  • Respond to emergencies with appropriate nursing intervention.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain required employment-related documentation and screenings.

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work at a Facility in Oxford, MS. These are registry positions with our company. Pay Rate: $28 - $29 / hour. W2.

Shifts Available:

  • 7A-330P
  • 3P-1130P
  • 11P-730A

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Perform routine patient assessments and document findings accurately.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and maintain proper documentation of medication administration.
  • Regularly monitor and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiration rate.
  • Assist with wound care, dressings, and rehabilitation procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, progress, and assessments using electronic medical records (EMR) or other designated systems.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, registered nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about healthcare procedures, medications, and post-treatment care instructions to promote effective self-management and recovery.
  • Follow established infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe disposal of medical waste.
  • Act swiftly and effectively during emergencies, implementing appropriate nursing intervention and alerting the appropriate personnel as necessary.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains compliance and complies with annual requirements.
  • Successfully completes required employment-related documentation, testing, and screenings in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association).
  • Must have up to date credentials in the state of MS.
  • INCLUDES ACTIVE RN/LPN/CNA LICENSE, BACKGROUND CHECK WITHIN 2 YEARS (FELONY CONVICTIONS PROHIBIT EMPLOYMENT), OIG EXCLUSION SEARCH, TB TESTING UP TO DATE (WITHIN 12 MONTHS), UP TO DATE CPR CERTIFICATION, DRIVER'S LICENSE/SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, COVID VACCINATION RECORD (NOT MANDATORY, BUT ENCOURAGED).
