Job summary

Hendricks Community Hospital in Hendricks, MN is seeking an LPN to join our long-term care team. You will assess and plan resident care, administer medications, and communicate with physicians to ensure quality, timely care for our geriatric residents.

Starting wage is $27.10 per hour with experience, with weekend/holiday rotation and shift differentials. We welcome new graduates and offer benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance and retirement matching.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an LPN in Minnesota.
• Previous experience in geriatric nursing preferred.
• Responsible for assessing, planning and implementing resident needs ensuring quality resident care.
• Provides input and updates on resident care plan ensuring care plan is followed.
• Obtains, administers and monitors effectiveness of medications in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Communicates with medical staff to ensure prompt quality care and carries out physician orders as directed.
• Strong leadership, initiative, and independent judgment skills required.
• Flexibility to handle changing situations and emergency needs.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and proficient EMR usage.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement resident care for each patient.
