Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Day shift team. The LPN will assume responsibility and accountability for assigned patients, delivering nursing services to ensure safety and to promote the well-being of residents as defined by assessments and the care plan.

The role operates on a 12-hour day shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with responsibilities including patient assessment, implementing physician orders, and supervising care activities to maintain high-quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved nursing school.
• Current Iowa LPN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter training within 30 days.
• Recertification every 5 years.

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE

Licensed Practical Nurse assume responsibility and accountability for assigned patients. Licensed practical nurses provide nursing services to assure resident safety and attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well -being of each resident, as determined by resident assessment and implementing plan of care.

Shift: 12-hour day shift (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1.Utilize nursing process which includes patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning of nursing care, implementing interventions, and evaluation of patient status in relationship to above


• 2.Executes regimen prescribed by physician within guidelines of nursing practice


• 3.Performs and/or supervises activities/functions which require knowledge and skill level currently ascribed to the licensed practical nurse and seeks assistance when these are beyond scope of preparation


• 4.Provides leadership and direction in the supervision of others in carrying out the nursing process

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of approved Nursing school


• Required Licensure and Certifications Current LPN license in State of Iowa


• Current basic Life Support for Healthcare providers from American heart Association Dependent Adult Mandatory reporter training 30 days upon fire and recertification every 5 years. Obtains education requires for license renewal.
