Job summary

Five Star Nursing is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our client facilities in New York. You will provide follow-through of the physician’s plan of treatment under RN supervision and play a vital role as a health educator for patients, families, and communities.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license to work in New York.

LPN/ Licensed Practical Nurse Requirements:

• Currently holds an active LPN license to work in New York.
• CPR Certified (BLS or ALS accepted)
• Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a Nursing Facility
• Strong patient assessment skills
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Demonstrated clinical competency

Five Star LPNs are expected to carry out the following tasks:

• Instruct patients and their families in proper treatment.
• Help individuals and groups take steps to improve or maintain health.
• Assess and record symptoms and/or reactions and progress in patients.
• Administer patient medications as prescribed by the treating physician.
• Assist in rehabilitation in accordance with the physician's established plan of treatment.
