Geisinger offers outpatient Clinic Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

This role is full-time, 40 hours per week, days with 12-hour shifts, providing a flexible schedule and better work-life balance!

Provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient, and their family to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and proper filing in medical records to ensure continuity and quality of care. Promotes a clean environment and meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age ranges on their assigned clinical area.

• Obtains and documents patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provides basic medical data for the provider, preparing patients for examinations.
• Provides direct clinical care as directed by the provider.
• Assists the provider in minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary examinations to facilitate accurate diagnosis.
• Collects and prepares laboratory specimens, completing associated paperwork for laboratory studies with accuracy and efficiency.
• Executes and documents ongoing patient communication, prioritizing communication to the provider, responding to patient questions, and ensuring timely responses to patient needs.
• Administers medications and vaccines, including intradermal and skin testing, under the direction of a provider and within scope of practice.
• Cleans and prepares examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring asepsis, availability of instruments, and patient readiness.
