Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living at Bay Square in Yarmouth, ME is seeking compassionate LPNs and RNs for part-time day and evening shifts. Compensation ranges from $32 to $36 per hour.

Join a team focused on delivering high-quality, home-like nursing care and building lasting relationships with residents and colleagues. Ideal candidates hold an active LPN license with CPR certification and have 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably with elderly populations.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience with the elderly in paid or volunteer roles is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, communicate, and document residents’ status accurately.
• Observe and report significant changes in health to care leadership per state regulations.
• Direct and supervise daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor and guide Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers via case management.
• Balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognize and report elder abuse or exploitation per state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and activate back-up as needed.

Bay Square at Yarmouth is looking for compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)s/Registered Nurses(RN)s to join our team!

Part Time Days 7a-3p

Part Time Evenings 3p-9p

$32-$36/HR

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, your main role will be to deliver nursing care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment. Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.
• Directs and supervises the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
• Closely mentors, guides, and directs the Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.
• Effectively balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognizes and assists in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and reports to appropriate sources per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and personal emergency response system and knows when to call for backup.

Requirements

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
