Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join Bay Square at Yarmouth in Maine. Full-Time Day shifts (7a-3p) and Evening shifts (3p-9p) are listed, with additional part-time and per diem opportunities available.

You will deliver nursing care in a warm, home-like environment within a supportive team setting. Required are an LPN license and CPR certification, with 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred and elderly care experience highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience preferred.
• Experience with elderly care is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents' status.
• Observes and reports significant changes in resident health to appropriate leadership.
• Directs and supervises daily tasks of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentors Lead Resident Care Assistants in job responsibilities.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via case management.
• Balances service demands with resident independence.
• Recognizes and reports elder abuse and health concerns per state regulations.

Bay Square at Yarmouth is looking for compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our team!

Full Time Days 7a-3p

Full Time Evenings 3p-9p

Additional part time and per diem opportunities available

$32-$36/HR

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, your main role will be to deliver nursing care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment. Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents' status.
• Observes and reports any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.
• Directs and supervises the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
• Closely mentors, guides, and directs the Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.
• Effectively balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognizes and assists in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and reports to appropriate sources per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and personal emergency response system and knows when to call for backup.

Requirements

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
