Benchmark Senior Living in Roseland, NJ, is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a part-time basis. The schedule is Sundays and Mondays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, providing nursing care in a warm, home-like environment.

You will assess residents, report changes to the care team, supervise Resident Care Assistants, and coordinate care with other providers while maintaining a focus on resident independence and safety. Prior elderly-care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience; elderly care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports significant changes in resident health to supervisors and physicians as required.
• Directs and supervises daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentors and directs Lead Resident Care Assistants in job performance.
• Coordinates care with community providers via case management processes.
• Balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Responds to emergencies and uses the emergency response system as needed.

Benchmark at Roseland is looking for a compassionate part‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team!

Part‑Time Sundays & Mondays 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, your main role will be to deliver nursing care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home‑like environment. Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.
• Directs and supervises the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
• Closely mentors, guides, and directs the Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.
• Effectively balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognizes and assists in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and reports to appropriate sources per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and personal emergency response system and knows when to call for backup.

Requirements

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
