The Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN will provide direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of a registered nurse of provider. The LPN will observe, report and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record. The LPN will instruct patients and families according to the teaching plans. The LPN will communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care.
Family and Community Medicine – Park Avenue is a dynamic and fast-paced outpatient clinic located in the heart of State College, PA, just one mile from Beaver Stadium and close to the vibrant Penn State University community. As the only Penn State Health clinic exclusively serving Family Medicine patients, we are proud to be a vital training site for our Family Medicine Residents, who provide the majority of patient care under the supervision of dedicated faculty. We see an average of 80 patients per day, offering a diverse and ever-changing clinical environment ideal for individuals who thrive on variety and teamwork.
