Job summary

Jersey Shore Post Acute Rehabilitation and Nursing in New Jersey is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for full-time night shifts, 11pm–7am, with weekend availability. New graduates welcome; we provide training, orientation and support in a team environment led by engaged management.

You will administer medications, assist with ADLs, document care, and monitor residents, with competitive pay and benefits including PTO, holidays, health/dental/vision, tuition assistance and career

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Jersey.
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends.
• Compassionate patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assisting CNAs in ADL and routine care.
• Conducting resident/patient treatments.
• Administering medication per physician orders and Plan of Care.
• Submitting pharmacy orders.
• Documenting all information accurately.
• Giving injections as prescribed.
• Observing resident health and communicating changes to RNs/Physicians.
• Taking vital signs (BP, temp, weight).
• Basic wound care and bandaging.
• Managing IVs and starting IV drips.
• Monitoring fluid/food intake and output.
• Reporting resident accidents or skin issues.
• Assisting admissions process.

Key Responsibilities

Job responsibilities for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) include and are not limited to:

• Assisting CNAs in performing ADL and routine care.
• Conducting resident/patient treatments.
• Administering medication in accordance with physician orders and Plan of Care.
• Submitting pharmacy orders.
• Accurately documenting and recording all information.
• Giving injections of medication as prescribed.
• Observing resident health to communicate current condition to RNs, Supervisors, and Physicians.
• Taking vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature and weight.
• Basic care, including wound cleaning and bandaging.
• Managing IVs, starting IV drips.
• Monitoring fluid/food intake and output.
• Observing and reporting resident accidents, incidents and the presence of skin breakdowns.
• Assisting as directed in the admissions process.
