Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed practical nurse for full-time day shifts in the United States. The role offers competitive pay ranging from $28.00 to $33.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and a focus on patient care at home.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license for the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met; notify them if the patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform a medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
