Amedisys is seeking a licensed practical nurse for full-time day shifts in Cape Coral, FL. You will support patients in their homes, verify care plans with RNs, and collaborate with physicians to address changing needs.

Responsibilities include patient teaching, vital signs, medication reviews, and timely documentation. Requires 1 year LPN experience, state license, CPR, and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

• Must have one year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license for the state(s) assigned.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilidades

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify when condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
